Chapter 1049 Fly-in and Pancake Breakfast at Driggs Airport
Details to be announced in July
Drone Day at Driggs, ID
The Teton Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) invites young aviation enthusiasts to experience the excitement of drone flight at Drone Day! This hands-on event is open to youth ages 10 to 18 and takes place on Saturday, March 29, at Flying-T Hanger 2 (FT2), Driggs Airport. With 60 slots available, participants will take to the skies in guided drone-flying sessions led by experienced instructors. Sessions run every half hour starting at 9 AM, ensuring plenty of opportunities to explore the world of unmanned aerial systems.
Beyond hands-on flying, attendees can watch first-person video (FPV) drones navigate an obstacle course, providing an exhilarating look at high-speed drone racing. Other exhibits will showcase the key components of drones and how they are built, giving kids a deeper understanding of the technology behind these incredible machines. Participants will also get an up-close look at a competition-ready drone built by high school students for the EAA’s UAS4STEM competition, inspiring the next generation of drone builders and pilots.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for kids to engage with drone technology in a safe and structured environment. No food or drink will be allowed in the hangar to maintain a clean and focused learning space.
Space is limited—reserve your spot today! https://esignup.org/?177
Don’t miss this chance to explore the exciting world of drones, learn from experienced mentors, and take the controls yourself. Sign up now and take your first step into the future of aviation!

Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo (officially styled SUN 'n FUN) is a nonprofit organization in Lakeland, Florida dedicated to the promotion of aviation education. It is best known for the annual week-long fly-in and airshow at Lakeland Linder International Airport in Lakeland, Florida, usually held during late March or early April.
Previously called the 'Sun ’n Fun International Fly-In and Expo, for 2020 the event was officially renamed the Sun ’n Fun Aerospace Expo in April 2019. In addition to the fly-in, at one time Sun 'n Fun also operated the Florida Air Museum and supported the Central Florida Aerospace Academy—an aviation-focused career academy operated by the Polk County School Board as part of Kathleen High School. In October 2019 a reorganization made the fly-in part of the Aerospace Center for Excellence, a non-profit organization that was established in 2014 to provide young students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) instruction
