History
EAA Chapter 1049, Inc. was initially incorporated February 24, 1994 with the Secretary of State in the state of Wyoming as a Non Profit Corporation. This is an individual chapter of the 501(c) (3) Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA).
Community
The community involvement with our organization is focused on an annual Young Eagles Day in which local youth are provided with free flights through volunteer pilots who are members of our chapter as well as other volunteers. This event is known nationally through the national EAA organization and is focused on education and helping promote the interest in aviation for young adults. This event is used as a tool to help educate all who attend about how to get involved in aviation and types of careers that can be pursued.
